Farmingdale, NY (04/08/2011) – Gail Peterson, owner of the Minuteman Press in Galveston Island, TX, is helping to raise money for the local animal shelter. Gail, along with Allison Schoenvogel and Cynthia McEldowney, are holding the 1st annual Galveston Island Dog Show called “A Bark in the Park”. The show will be held at the Kempner Park on April 30th, 2011 from 9am-3pm.
The event was inspired by another dog show that one of Gail’s friends (Allison Schoenvogel) saw in Charleston, SC. Gail along with her friends wanted to do something in their town to raise money for the local Humane Society animal shelter, while bringing some fun to the community as well. The annual event will feature not only the dog show but tents with local vendors, local talented artist showcasing their canine creations, caricaturists, local pet services, pet photographers, rescue village highlighting adoptable dogs from the shelter, and much more!
