Toronto, Canada - WSI, the world's leading Internet franchise, organized an international charity golf tournament on June 19 to help raise funds for Make Child Poverty History (MCPH), a global initiative that provides needy children with the basic necessities of life. Several hundred WSI Internet Marketing Consultants around the world took to the greens to make their worthy contributions to help eradicate child poverty. Members of the WSI network participated sequentially based on time zones, starting in New Zealand and Australia, then moving on to the Middle East, South Africa, Europe, UK, South America, Canada, the US and concluding in California.
Ron McArthur, President of WSI, says, "Social responsibility is one of WSI's core principles and therefore, we strive to serve as a catalyst to help end child poverty around the world. June 19 marked WSI's second annual worldwide charity golf tournament, just one of the many unique platforms WSI initiated to raise funds for this extremely worthy cause. I am very impressed by the huge amount of participation from members of the WSI family. Our collective contributions to the Make Child Poverty History program will provide food, water, health care, and education to needy children around the world."
A founding member of the Make Child Poverty History initiative, WSI in the last 5 years has helped sponsor hundreds of children around the world through the international charity organization, World Vision. Several groups of WSI Internet Marketing Consultants participated in the event, allowing WSI to raise sufficient funds to sponsor a dozen additional children a year.
Doug Schust, an international WSI Consultant and co-organizer of the worldwide golf event, says, "Ontario-based WSI Consultants convened at the Granite Ridge Golf Club in Milton, Ontario for our own mini tournament. It was an excellent opportunity to get out, enjoy the weather and practice our golfing skills while making a difference in the lives of hungry children everywhere. It's great to know that this small event will help brighten the future of children in need."
Founded in 2004 by WSI, Make Child Poverty History is an ongoing global initiative that mobilizes resources and brings together individuals and organizations in an effort to end child poverty. For more information about the MCPH program, please fill out the form below.
